1
Silver Springs Mall Parking
Park your vehicle in the Mall parking. Ensure you park in a parking bay that is not allocated to any particular stores otherwise you may be ticketed!
Decide on your walking detour preference: visit the Botanical Gardens first? Head to the ridge and enjoy the views first? Or start with a snack at Cafe le Matin?
2
The Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs
The unique and understated botanical gardens of Silver Springs are a short 600m from the parking lot. Best visited during the Spring and Summer months this delightful secret of Silver Springs is worth exploring if you love gardens and gardening.
3
Silver Crescent Ridge Walk
Proceed from the mall parking lot along our recommended route to Silver Crescent Ridge NW. Soak in the sweeping vistas of the neighbourhood of Bowness beneath you with views of the steel girder train bridges traversing the meandering Bow River, an unobstructed view of Winsport Canada Olympic Park across the valley, and the majestic Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. There are several rest spots and benches along the ridge for you to sit and absorb the urban beauty during your walk. Proceed along the paved pathways as far as you desire before returning via the same route to the Mall parking lot.
4
Cafe le Matin
Remember the adage "don't judge a book by its cover"? Well this is one of those occasions when that applies. What appears to be a bland store front conceals the vibrant and bustling little coffee shop beyond the glass doors. You need to visit this little neighbourhood gem - perhaps for a take-out at the start of your outing and then again for a sit-down snack at the end of your detouring. We don't think you'll regret your stop here!
